On Tuesday, April 8, 2003, Junior Achievement of Silicon Valley & Monterey Bay is inducting five of Silicon Valley's most distinguished leaders at the 17th Annual Business Hall of Fame. The dinner and induction ceremony will start at 6:00p.m.at the Fairmont Hotel, San Jose.

Who: Five long-time industry and community icons who have also given their time to support worthy causes in Silicon Valley:

· Lata Krishnan-President, American India Foundation and Co-Founder Smart Modular

· Glen McLaughlin-CEO, Venture Leasing Assoc. and Director Greater Bay Bancorp

· Hon. Edward A. Panelli (Ret.)-Former Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the State of California

· Steve Schott-Owner & CEO, Citation/Award Homes and Managing Partner Oakland Athletics Baseball Company

What: This 17th Annual event kicks off the yearlong 50th Anniversary celebration for Junior Achievement of Silicon Valley & Monterey Bay. In addition to highlighting the wonderful contributions of the five Laureates named above, this event showcases many current JA students who are benefiting from our programs. Lloyd LaCuesta of KTVU/Channel 2 (South Bay Bureau Chief) will once again M.C. the evening with a student Co-M.C., Philip Houston, a senior at Yerba Buena High School, San Jose. The 2003 Hall of Fame Planning Committee, Chaired by 2002 Laureate Joe Parisi of Therma Corporation, consists of several other Laureates and prominent business and community leaders: Greg Belanger—Executive Vice President, Comerica Bank; Maryles Casto--CEO, Casto Travel; John DuBois--The DuBois Group; Mike Fox, Sr.—Founder M.E. Fox & Company; Fred Hoar--Dean's Executive Professor, S.C.U. Leavey School of Business; Jay Pinson–retired, Applied Materials Global University; and John A. Sobrato--CEO and General Partner, Sobrato Development Companies.
