Programs

Economics The High School program is a one-semester economics course. Volunteers are a significant factor in its success. They help students see the practical application of economic theory by bringing a real-world perspective into the classroom. Economics volunteers meet with the classes for eight to ten visits.
Success Skills
Success Skills focuses on developing interpersonal effectiveness. Through a skills assessment, the students identify the strengths and unique potentials of their interpersonal skills. Students examine how their interpersonal skills match careers of interest to them, develop resumes, and practice their skills in mock job interviews. Success Skills is a ten-week program.

JA Titan
Through an Internet based business simulation, students learn about developing a marketable product and running a company. Fictional companies compete against each other in executing a company’s strategy – price, production, marketing, capital investment and R&D.

JA Company Program
Business volunteers provide students, with the opportunity to operate companies and develop, produce, market and sell their products. The profits from the student companies support a scholarship program for the students’ college education.
