Middle Grades Program
JA's Middle Grades Program brings volunteers from the community face to face with students for the simplest of human interaction - sharing. Classroom volunteers make economic concepts relevant and help prepare the students for academic learning and lifelong achievement. Students learn personal skills and interests, career options, and personal family financial management. The Middle Grades Program also describes the principal characteristics of the U.S. economic system, how people and cultures throughout the world are connected through trade, and the economic benefits of staying in school.

JA Go Figure! - Exploring Math in Business
JA Go Figure is an interactive program showing students the relevance of math to their future. Classroom volunteers conduct weekly activities demonstrating the connection between the concepts and skills taught by the classroom teachers and how these are used in the workforce. At the same time, students learn that math can be fun and exciting, while exploring future career choices through creative, hands-on activities.

All middle school programs are taught by a volunteer one class hour a week for 8 weeks.
